What is the exact meaning of Jihad?

I stumbled across this today, and thought that it really clarifies some of what is happening in our world today. It is how the word "Jihad" was born and its meaning has changed through time. Very interesting.

Call me "naive" or stupid.

I have always been amazed and puzzled by the concept of "killing" in the name of God (which ever God) you may worship.

I am sorry, " I JUST DON'T GET IT? " Then again, I guess there are lots of things that I "just don't get".
