On my Motorcycle, end of scale of the Speedo: 300 Km/h = 187 mph. But i doubt the accuracy of the Speedo.
On the S2000, 240 Km/h = 149 mph. Road was a tiny tiny litle bit damp from a rain before and the engine is not desigend for this, so... keep it safe.
250 Km/h = 155 mph in a rented Mercedes S-Class. I was thinking: I dont want to own it, i dont want to maintain or work on it, but.... this is impressive!
I loved that car when it came out. It was simply a beautiful car.
I had owned the prior version and was intent on buying one.
I went down to the dealer and tried to sit in one.
I was crushed, I couldn't even sit up. I tried crumpling my legs to no avail.

Agree, such a very clean and understated design. I got to borrow my brothers quite a lot when he owned it, he let me borrow it when my VW Corrado was in the shop, which was fairly often. He had a Miata prior to that which I got to drive several times. When I got the Corrado back the last time I drove straight to a Mazda dealer and got a Miata. Lol.
Here’s a pic from way back, me and my two brothers standing next to our cars. They were all various shades of green.
My Corrado’s speedo topped out at 140, but it definitely hit that plus a little more. Probably why it kept breaking. I was an idiot back then. My older brother (the rx7 one) definitely aided in my car sickness.
