Some things that have made it onto my completed bucket list. aka memorable experiences.

Comet Hyakutake, an ethereal experience covering almost a third of the sky.
Being part of a startup in the networking boom
total solar eclipse 2024, just awesome especially the large solar prominence.
Aurora jan 26 very impressive, although this is still on the list to be seen from northern latitudes.
Master's 2019, it still feels surreal 7 years later.

Still on the list
Live Tornado viewing
Ride out a major earthquake on the southern san andreas.
Follow the path of the Missoula floods through the scablands https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Missoula_floods
play complete top 100 golf courses, a few standouts. Augusta National is at the top of that list. TPC Sawgrass, Pebble Beach.

My list as an 17 year old, included cycling across the US.
skydiving.

{EDIT} I do find it frustrating that I never got a patent. Both my wife and son did.

Items that could have been in my bucket-list but weren't things I set out to find:

2024 Solar Eclipse, I agree with Jerry, I never expected it to be worth my time but I gave it the benefit of the doubt and I think George (Raptor) for convincing me. It was spectacular.

Halley's comet was cool, one chance in your lifetime to see it.

Fatima Portugal - an amazing religious experience if you are Roman Catholic. I loved it.

Jet Ski tour around Key West with my wife and son on a single jet ski, followed by a visit to Fort Jefferson Fla

Witnessing the birth of our son.

Being able to buy my first Honda S2000 after many years of admiring them.

Driving my vehicles on tracks at Gingerman Raceway MI and Watkins Glen International NY

Being able to see Cuba and admiring the people of the great country before it eventually goes to shit and implodes.

Some form of retirement where I can remain active/busy while enjoying my surroundings, and not ending up as the richest guy in the cemetery either.

Wanted to drive to the North Grand Canyon rim and stay at the old lodge but it burned down last year.

Barge trip on some canals in France.

Just driving trips around Europe. Nothing too planned, just go. Looking for unusual cars to rent, perhaps vintage. Probably just have to know someone and I don't know anyone over there who does know either.

Sad about that lodge at the Grand Canyon. Years ago, I flew up to the canyon in one of my relatives’ planes from Phoenix and we had breakfast there.

We love river cruises so could probably spend all our vacations on one here in the US or Europe. Getting ready to go on our fifth one in the US and Sept back to Europe for our second. So interesting to learn about different parts of the country/world in a relaxing way. I love trains and have been on a few nice ones. I want to go on a combined train/fjord trip of Norway. Not sure when we will fit in that one because we still have to schedule the Tulip Time river cruise in Holland/Belgium I had to cancel due to COVID.

As a teenager, I got to skate on clear, black ice on a large lake.
It was about a foot thick but smooth as glass, no bubbles.
You could skate up to one end, and open your coat and the wind would bring you back like a sail.
I've only ever seen it once in my life.
Definitely one a bucket list moment.

I had the same experience on a lake fed by the Chesapeake Bay. The ice was smooth as well and the strong wind blew us across the lake. After skating we built a bonfire and roasted hot dogs and smores on it. Bucket list moment here too.
