This weekend the son is bringing his wife and some of hin in-laws down the Cape. I'm hoping for good weather, but the Saturday forecast keeps changing.

Laugh if you will but you hit the nail on the head. I know I lost 5 pounds and maybe 6 due to the flu. I immediately noticed the difference - heck even if it was all liquids. I've started walking every morning and cut back on the food. I know I should not be drinking a beer as I type this but at least its a Light beer.

Off to San Francisco for the toughest full of my life. A little worried about this one. Followed by the drive back to Idaho and our 25th anniversary on Tuesday. That is assuming I survive Sunday.

Are you running the San Francisco marathon? Why is that the toughest? The route doesn't look like it goes up and down those famous hills, but around the perimeter of the city.

The next two weekends our neighborhood will be rockin' due to Little League Tournament play. We try to make ourselves scarce. We may go back to that car museum in RI with friends on Sunday (weather dependent) and out for a late lunch in the Bristol RI area. There is a balloon festival in RI on Saturday. I would like to check that out in the afternoon, not sure how that will work as we are not fond of crowded festival gatherings....

Saturday a favorite local band of ours is reuniting for a rare gig. Keyboard/vocal guy works with two other bands, guitarist/vocal guy works sound and lights at various New Orleans venues, and bass player works as an electrician in Oregon where the money is really good. All happen to be in town at the moment and decided to play a local bar. Really looking forward.

Sunday, another favorite local artist...50s, 60s, motown, etc, is performing. We catch him most every Sunday afternoon but this Sunday we are celebrating four birthdays. Mine is Sunday, his is Monday, his old keyboard player is Tuesday, and his former female vocalist is all July. This guy is one day younger than me but I'm still "the old man" to him.

There is a really huge and good street art show in Ann Arbor this weekend and just like ever year in the past the weather is way too hot (90°) and bad t-storms forecasted.

It's hot here too. Tonight is 50's night downtown. Cars, music food and drink if you are inclined to wait in line. It can be a fun time to take a few photos and run into people but it's going to be uncomfortably hot! We thought of going to the huge car show which is every other Thursday at Bass Pro Shops in Foxboro, MA, but it will likely be even hotter there. We may just end up taking a top down drive and having dinner somewhere. Maybe I'll think of somewhere we can eat and look at the water.....
