well i dug a hole and cleared well enough for the new printer scanner fax copier combo.

oldest receipt I found was from '07.
lots of unused cords and stuff. and dust, the old printer was 20 years old so it was bigger and hid a lot of dust behind it.

Yesterday was a miserable rainy day. We were home most of the day. I get restless, I need to go out. Today it was in the low 40's and sun was expected. We took a ride to a few spots hoping for some wild life. Nothing much around, but I did spot this beast

Top up today.

Off to a local place for a late lunch, early dinner. Our old people dine out coupon was not honored. Not good on salads? Huh? The salad cost as much or more as some of the "entrees" on the menu. To top it off a young guy at the bar was spouting off his opinions on politics and politicians. Seriously, leave the political BS at home, people are paying to eat out, have a beer, watch some football..... We'll just say we've had better lunches.....

Yes, that's Rick's "girl" and it was my shot. As we pulled into the area I mentioned to Rick that one of my favorite photos of the S was taken there. So I took another one.

I was at the local VFW to sing Karaoke with the bartenders who were off for the night. Unfortunately, of the 12 songs I was looking to sing, they didn't a single one!

I had designs to sing "Feelin' OK' by Best Coast. The Second Verse, goes "I took my own advice, for once. I gave it up. I gave it up". I was going to change the verse to sing "I gave her up", and do a mic drop of her house key!

Yes, she and her boyfriend were there...

Ah... opportunity missed...

For those who don't follow me on FB, I am finally ready to start dating again.

^ So how is that going? I dated on and off for about nine years after my ex and I separated, before meeting the +1. Had a lot of fun. You just need a thick skin because there are all kinds of reasons for not making a connection, some of which have nothing to do with you. So just enjoy until you meet "the one."

Finally saw the precious grandnieces yesterday. They have been in AZ since before Christmas. We went to have Chick Fil A out in Ashburn. The Dulles Town Center has a big open area with a playground in the middle and a carousel. Those girls ran around for an hour straight. It was tiring just watching them. For those who know the Nats baseball team, one of the star players, Ryan Zimmerman, was there with his family.

Today we are having brunch with the girls, nephew and wife, and Grandma (my SIL). Might go let them run around on the Iwo Jima grounds after since the weather is nice.

Usual weekend so far. Y time, Y ladies breakfast. strolling at my favorite nature spot for a bit yesterday and dinner out last night. Really POOR service at a place that we've been to before, but meals were good. Heading out to Falmouth, MA in a bit for a little winter's day field trip. Temps in the 40's but it's windy. Will find a few places to do a little walking, short walks with time in between to warm up if it's cold. I'm sure I'll find some photo ops. Off tomorrow too.

This coming weekend Barbara and I will be having dinner with my brother and his wife. My Sunday will be consumed by the Super Bowl.
