We are headed out later to see the nephew and family. The younger adorable grandniece (2) is playing soccer this morning, or at least what passes for soccer at that age. Then we are all going to brunch.

Bunchball!!!

The last few weeks have been nuts with the LAX run and the masters and work travel.
So it's a clean up weekend and get caught up with rest, laundry and housecleaning.
The rest part may be sacrificed. Meet with my contractor tomorrow about replacing the fire damaged window.

We did that and at brunch the older one (4) asked if we could come to her house and play. So we went for awhile...the girls and the +1 painted. The +1 has this game where he says to the older one a different sound that a particular animal makes, or a different animal than the one they are talking about. She always corrects him in kind of an exasperated way. It is funny. But I guess she started to wonder about him because she asked her parents "how come Uncle Vito doesn't know what the animals are?"

Did two classes at the Y this AM. Turbo kick and "Insanity." Lots of sweat. Feels good. My photo books (Alphabet and Animals) came in. I'm heading out in a bit to drop one of to our friend's grandson. Really happy with the way they turned out. Dinner with friends later. No plans for Easter tomorrow. Weather continues to be lousy!

I am taking it relatively easy this weekend after my leg surgery. But I feel fine and the wound looks good - no bleeding. Plan to do some walking. The +1 leaves for Richmond in awhile to run the Ragnar Richmond. It is a trail run and the team will be camping in tents. Unfortunately, it will be stormy tomorrow. Hope they can stay relatively dry!

Deb, thanks for the reassuring update and for posting zero related pics.

Jazz fest starts tomorrow. Planning to attend the Sunday session. Maybe I will get to hear "Brown Eyed Girl" for the one millionth time, but at least for once performed by the original artist. Will likely attend again next Sunday, weather permitting, for Buddy Guy, John Fogerty, Herbie Hancock, Little Feat, and some Buffet guy. (Parrot heads are always fun to be around, especially at a big outdoor venue.)

Oops...Fogerty, hancock, and Guy are all all scheduled on different stages at the same time! Decisions, decisions.

We are looking at a new SUV for Patty this weekend. Sorry Honda but Mazda is the front runner.

Actually I took a couple after the surgery, but they didn't turn out - too blurry. I guess subconsciously I knew it was a bad idea to post. Anyhoo, the wound is about the size of a nickle. Maybe twice the width of the actual bump to allow for margins. It doesn't look bad at all. I'm hoping it will heal faster than three months. TBD...
