I always get out on the left since I always sleep on the left side at home.
On vacation a few times the wife and I switched sides because she wanted to be closer to the windows, but neither of us slept well. Since we started sleeping on our accustomed sides when we're away we sleep much better.
I can't snuggle up to her as well from the right side for some reason.

I always sleep on the left side of the bed and most of the time I refuse to crawl across and get up on the right side, so I just get out on the left side.

I sleep on the left side at home, Tara sleeps at the foot and +1 Chris on the right. But at hotels I switch around -- for variety maybe. At the cabin I sleep on the right -- ambidextrous. As for getting up, I agree with BB! ^^^

I envy those ambidextrous bed side sleepers. Some folks say that has remedied sleep issues. We both have issues with shoulders and sleeping positions, switching sides of the bed isn't an option.
Maybe we need to expand our bedroom to fit a king size bed in there.....
