What is so curiously addicting about this forum?

Brant

We will never kick you out of here. We welcome all who come in here to discuss and share ideas. You are always welcome.

I think you are correct when you say that the draw of Vintage is the common interests and the polite and thoughtful discourse. I also think that some of the topics that we discuss here would be out of place anywhere else.

In any event, this forum, like all of the others on this site, has developed its own personality & style. Most, if not all, of the participants are happy with it. To most of us in Vintage this forum is our own special place, our old pair of sneakers so to speak, that fits and feels good.

Don't worry, I didn't figure you or Deb would kick me out...it's Jerry I'm REALLY worried about...

You're right about the topics. Though technically they are all things that would be welcome in Off-Topic, the audience in this forum is probably more appropriate for many of them...not to mention that whole thoughtful discourse thing...

Thought I'm a "lowly" Miata owner, I think that this is one of the strongest communities I've been associated with. As far as s2ki goes, I am a proponent of anything that draws in more people as long as it doesn't do this to the detriment of the site as a whole. I think this forum perfectly fits that ideal.

I may not fit the vintage profile or visit this forum often, but I'm glad it's here because it DOES play an important role of reaching out to a segment of the market that wasn't being served very well.

Because this is by far the most mature forum on this site.

I respectfully disagree. The car is only part of it in this forum. Most of it is the people, the ideas, the discussion and the attitude.

Vintage is a very special place. The car brought us together, but a lot of things keep us together.
