The +1 is running 16 miles with his group early this AM, in spite of the cold. It's not quite as cold right now as I thought it would be - 20 instead of 11. I will be hibernating. Brrr...

My beloved bride made noises about going snowshoeing today.
We'll see if she actually goes and how far.

Hope she waited until it warmed up!

I went to the Y, then we did a few errands and lunch. Staying in where it's warm tonight. Unusual for us on a Saturday night.

Spent much of today stripping wall paper in one of our bathrooms. Tomorrow I will wash the remainder of the glue off the walls and start repairing defects.

I got a room you can do…. according to my daughter 30-years is long enough for the same wall paper. It is the only room left with wall paper except for a 1/2 bath. Funny, it's in my pc room (formerly known as a dining room) and I never get tired of it.

I'll be shoveling snow. Got 6" last night on top of the 7" we had. And another 6" is coming starting a 3pm today according to the experts.

No thank you Dave. This room is the last one with wall paper and I don't plan on doing this ever again!!

We are still waiting for the snow to begin.

Well I successfully completed my drivers re-education boot camp.
interesting details...

the basics are if you get 3 moving violations within a 2 yr period you get to go to class.
stated differently when they look at the latest ticket you have if they 2 more in the prior two years, you WIN!!!. You get to pay $125 bucks, spend 8 hours or forgo your license for 30 days.

24 class attendees. 11 were getting a reboot. i.e. 2nd time through the class. 1 had taken the same class yesterday. I'm sure he found it to be an invaluable experience.

We had a pretty lightweight class. No egregious DUI's or wild police chases.
so with 24 attendees that would infer 24x3 events = 72 surchargeable offenses.
Each attendee got to do the "what I did to get here story at the beginning of class"... "Hi I'm jerry and I got caught speeding for 79 in a 55 on rt 3[sup]1[/sup]" type spiel.
remarkable 19 were for invalid inspection stickers, another two or three were for expired registrations or licenses.
Even more remarkable was the 2 guys accounted for 7 of those, one guy got stopped 4 times in 10 days for his inspection sticker.
One parent was there because her son had a couple of violations for registration/sticker/etc. but the vehicle was registered in her name..... not quite sure how that worked...
some stories didn't add up.

One woman said the cops just showed up at her house and cited her for leaving he scene of an accident but she didn't have an accident and had no damage to her car.
Another said he was backing up and had a drunk drive into him. Somehow he got the surcharge but didn't bother to fight it. and never got the drunk driver arrested.

I got the special pleasure of sitting next to ADHD boy for 6 1/2 hours to day. Avoiding a repeat to that experience might be more forceful than anything else to help avoid repeat behavior.

It was another shining example of the cross section of how diverse ( i.e. frigging scary) the population of drivers out there are. And that half of all americans are below average.

[sup]1[/sup] in my own defense on this one, I honestly forgot that section of 3 lane divided highway is not 65 but 55. and it was the second day with the new car and I didn't reeeaally think i was going that fast. I didn't even bother with tell it to the judge cuz' he bagged me dead to rights.
