Even though it is past morning I wanted to share an experience we had this morning at breakfast. 2 gentlemen were seated beside us. One got up and left and the other remained. He was probably around 90 and short in stature and he wore a U.S. Marine ball cap. I asked him when and where he served. He replied he served in WWII with the Marines and he fought on Guadalcanal, Guam and Iwo Jima and was shot 4 times during those campaigns. I was amazed and got up and shook his hand and thanked him for his service. He said his 4 brothers also served and one of them was killed leaving behind a wife and 2 year old son. I mentioned that I served during Viet Nam and he thanked me for my service. This man is my hero and so are his brothers. I wanted to buy his breakfast but the other gentleman already did.
