The 1948 Tucker. A 335 cid alumunum alloy flat six rear engine mounted. Preston Tucker got the idea of fuel injecting from helicopters.

Tucker?!! They really were advanced, weren't they? There was a good movie about him, called "Tucker", with Jeff Bridges in 1988.

I know that the WWII Messerschmidt BF109 was fuel injected, so my vote would probably go to Mercedes.
