Default Why I respect BAT

There are businesses that come and go. Occasionally you run across good ones.
So far Bring-a-trailer has been one of them.
They couldn't get in touch with the seller who was in harms way of Hurricane Ian.
In fairness to both the buyer and the seller they closed the auction until things can get reset,
But above all they expressed concern for the seller.

I sold a car on BaT and it was a pretty good experience. Nice to see a company go above and beyond like this.

There’s a thread on S2000 Talk that is disparaging about BaT. I disagreed with the author on a point or two he made. I think it’s a great site. I check it out every day.

I would be very hesitant to buy a car without driving it so unless a car feautured on B.A.T. is relatively near me I wouldn't consider it.
Right now I 'm watching something that checks all the boxes for me and it is very tempting but I have no indoor storage and there is nothing available to rent for storage that is decent in my area.
HOWEVER this car is REALLY calling my name and it is in needham mass which isn't too far from me. This car addiction is a sickness!!!

It's the 84 euro Ferrari Mondial coupe. It checks all the boxes for me, it has a few issues but nothing major and any almost 40 year old car is going to have issues, but it looks to be a straight no story car. Price has been low on it but I'm figuring it is going to pop at the end of auction. I know these cars really well and this one isn't going to need a ton of money right away. I'm familiar with the two shops in Ma. that have serviced the car and they are both top notch. It has metric tires which are very expensive so I would eventually want to replace the rims with non-metric ones and new tires which would be about 2 to 2.5k. Other issues are minor things I could tinker with. The belt service which is the biggie with these cars is up to date and I don't see any other major issues. It's a 3 owner car which I like and a non-sunroof coupe which is very rare and a euro car which I like ,they came with a hotter cam and no cats which could be an issue for inspection here. Anything under 35k is a steal for this car IMO.

LOL nope. Curious how he put down the car in the comments section while the auction was going on but he ended up winning the bid. Doesn't take much to scare first time Ferrari buyers away.

Lots of S2000 action lately. Noted a post there a couple days ago from our friend LegalBill. This 8,000 mile CR was just listed and it’s already at over $57k. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...a-s2000-cr-56/

Partially neat. But almost posted it in laugh of the day as the irony sunk in of depending on an Alfa tow truck to get your broken car home ...
