Never fly higher than you want to fall.
or
Never fly so low that you can't recover from a stall.

I like the third option. Don't fly at all, heights are scary.

A friend went skydiving with us to try to get rid of her fear of heights. She said she had fun ... but it had no effect on her fear of heights!

You can only tie the record for flying low.

Don't stall low atltidue. Simple.

Useless is the altitude above you. Useless is the runway behind you, emergency fuel on the ground. The only time you have too much fuel is when you are on fire.

"We've had to momentarily suspend cabin service as the service carts are currently on the ceiling. However, if you can catch a drink as it rolls by your head, you're welcome to it. Please remain seated with your seatbelt securely fastened until the pilot crashes."

I always remember the term disjointed incrementalism and I thought that fit me well when I heard it 35 years ago. Basically you can set a lofty goal where you take one shot / jab at it, if you fail you end up dropping a long way down and you have few options beyond that. Alternatively you can take baby steps towards a goal at slower pace, if you still fail you only fall a short way down, you still have a chance to move forward towards other goals.
