Default Words our grandkids will never know

In reading one of Jerry's posts he brought up the fact that his barber is no longer. That got me thinking what words that we used in everyday life will never be used by our grandkids.
Jerry started with:
Barber
phonograph
ice box
tv antenna's
shoe repair place
leather soles
cobbler
FM Converter
Made in America ******* How true
three-in-the-tree
Baby Moons
Rumble seat;
Radio tubes;
Wonderbar;
Wide whites;
Tri-power;
Running boards;
Cragars;
Cherry bombs;
flexfan;
R12
vent-a-port...
Dagmar
victrola, 45s and 33 vinyl records
transistor radio
slide rule

What can you add!

Maury, you are really old if you had an ice box vs a refrigerator.

So I go into a plaza near me where the shoe repair place is that I have used for years, new leather soles put onto old, high-quality shoes
I cannot find the store, oh crap, it's gone
I then see a modern PayLess Shoe Store, I go in, and go up to the counter and ask the younger girl there
Do you know where the cobbler moved to
She had no clue what I was asking about
Sad...

You forgot FM Converter

I had one in my '64 Ford Falcon
It hooked up to the AM radio and allowed me to get FM stations

They won't know what a "car jack" is or what it's for. They'll think a car jack is when some thug beats you up and takes your car.
A "rim" is the thing you "roll up" at the coffee shop.
Don't ask your grandkid to go get your car keys. By then, cars won't use keys anymore.
What will it mean to "go get gas"?

Hi Doug. Yup, still around, just only started to post again once I learned the site is under new ownership. Treading carefully.
Mine just passed 80K miles and I've learned how to downshift into first at almost any speed. I analyzed how you did it for years before I got it right. If you look around, for many people, this is still a head scratcher.

Dave, so nice to see ya

I learned a lot driving that 1953 Chevy pickup around on the farm when I was 13, and, Grampa who was the race mechanic for some of the original races in the late '40's at Watkins Glen taught me to heel toe in my 1st car, the one with (a "word" for the list in this thread) a three-in-the-tree.
