The worst roads in the country
We in Michigan have always thought we had the worst roads in the country and we now have the facts to back that up. See how your state ranks.

Why are there only 37 states rated? Don't publish an article if you don't have complete data!
BTW, it is no surprise that Ohio is #4

Mississippi is missing. And our highways are actually pretty good. There are issues up around Jackson due to the clay content of the soil which expands and contracts as it absorbs and releases water. But otherwise, the state does a good job of maintaining the highway system.
Dave, if you want to feel better about your Michigan roads, drive in New Orleans. If the list was based on worst city streets Louisiana would have quickly sunk to the bottom. Worst streets I've ever seen. Worse than NYC by a good bit.

That is shocking especially since our roads are always being worked on in Delaware and they take forever to fix them. Delaware has been called the diamond state probably for all of the endless orange diamond shaped signs that say road under repair. I don't agree with their incomplete rankings.
