I am a World War II buff. These are great pictures. I have never seen them. Truly the Greatest Generation. Thanks for sharing.

Great photos. I was struck by how old the soldiers looked on both sides.

I know that but many of those photos were dated 1944. It just struck me that there wasn't "pimple" faced kids like a so many in the service today. I know that many were near their 30s + or - that volunteered back then. God Bless Them.

War had a tendency to do that especially that war.
