A little over five weeks ago I went onto 1/2 dose of Praluent to treat my high cholesterol.
got recent blood work.
before after
total 389 248
HDL 30 35
LDL 333 188
it's working, curious to see how much it continues to push it down or if this is the level.
this could really screw with my retirement planning
and my stent guy might have to put off that new boat.

I pulled this back since it's been 3 years since PCSK-9 inhibitors have gone on the market.
Today I caught this story.
GlobeNewswire: Sanofi: ODYSSEY OUTCOMES investigators highlight at AHA that Praluent® (alirocumab) was associated with fewer deaths from any cause
it appears the stuff works resulting in lower mortality rates.
In the interest of full disclosure I do own a small amount of Sanofi stock which i bought to late.
There is another version as well called repatha.
