My wife picked mine out. I didn't even know what one was, until we went to the Honda dealer so I could buy a Civic or something. She saw the S and gently shoved me into signing for it.

She can't stand driving in it though. "It sits to low to the ground"

My husband is a "manly man", i.e. he's a truck man. He thinks the car is cool and tells his friends that I have an S2000 but he hardly ever drives it or wants to. He teases me about my obsession with it and how I keep it clean. If I drive with him in it, I take it easy (boring) so he doesn't squeal.

We're not married, but I have to chime in and give credit where credit is due. Were it not for my boyfriend I might not have this wonderful car. He loves them as does his uncle. We took his uncle's S2000 out for a drive when we visited Colorado in April.

They were so enthusiastic about the car and I enjoyed the ride so much, I had one less than a week after I got back. My lease on another car was about to run out and I had been researching new cars, but not the S. I was looking at a few Nissans and maybe an Accord.

Needless to say, the S vaulted to the top of the list and I haven't regretted it a bit. (And yes, he gets to drive it on the weekends. I'm a sweetheart like that! )

"She who must be obeyed" (for you Rumpole of the Bailey fans) loves to drive it, doesn't like riding in it, especially long freeway jaunts. Can't say I'm real fond of the thing on these Michigan freeways, either. Pavement's too uneven.

Gotta cure her of the aftereffects of too many years of the Volvo upshift now for maximum fuel economy light. "No, really, it's ok to get above 2,500 RPM.....honest"

Betti loves riding in the "S" so long as I am not driving toooo aggressively. However, for her day to day driving she prefers the Tundra. Oh the sacrifices we men have to make.
