I just got the 3M Plastic Cleaner and Plastic Polish. I was not too impressed with the results. I even used the 3M detail rag. I mean, it did clean it up a bit, but upon inspection I can still see swirl marks and scratches. I was under the impression that these products would completely "remove" swirls and scratch marks. Any suggestions?

ALSO...and very ALSO, I accidentally got some of the stuff onto the top when I was applying now there is a white stain on the top. Can't wipe it off. Anyone know how or what to use to clean this out?

Try using Simple Green, undiluted, an old tootbrush, and a sponge soaked in very warm water to rinse it all off.

Operator error. The stuff is excellent. Try again.

Forget the 3M plastic cleaner, but do use the plastic polish. I use it to polish the edges of all the windscreens I've made -- about 150 so far -- with excellent results. If your window is badly scratched, it will take lots of applications and much elbow grease to get it back into shape, but it can be saved.

I too got the 3M cleaner on the top ... you do not need any cleaner to get it off. Just fill up a cup with some warm water and grab an old toothbrush ... gently scrub the "stain" with the wet brush; dipping it in the warm water now and then. The white "stuff" will disappear as easy as it got there.

I've been using Plas-Pro. It doesn't take the scratches out but it does a great job on the dirt and haze that builds up on the plastic. Clears it up like brand new!
