Default Another headlight restoration video

I restored a set of AP2 headlights and decided to record and Youtube it. (Warning - it's pretty long)

Nice video, and great work on those lights. Are you using anything to protect them, people often report the hazing returns quickly after restoration.

My factory ap1 headlights still look like new but it doesn't see the UV conditions that an outdoor S2000 would in GA. I give mine a light cleaning yearly with Megs plast-x, followed by a coating of Menzarna powerlock sealant, and regular coatings of Plexus. I got a supply of Megs healight sealant a while back and it feels pretty slick, I've used it a few times too.

Hopefully I will not have to give them a heavy resto with this routine.

I didn't seal them with anything yet. I'll watch them to see if the hazing returns and if I need to add clear coat or a UV protection.

I'm sure you know this, but I would just coat them with some easy to apply products that offer UV protection - like 303 Aerospace, Plexus, Menzerna Powerlock, Meguiars Headlight sealant, etc.

I don't like the look of clearcoated headlights, I think that eventually yellows up too and it affects the clarity of the housings. Just my two pennies.
