Cool, good thread idea.

I recently got a oem AP2 lip for my GPW and after putting it on, noticed that it's whiter than the front bumper, leading me to think my bumper is starting to yellow/haze/oxidize (probably the rest of the car also). I plan on ordering a PC tomorrow. I know I'll need to clay to get a lot of particles and crap off my car - I can feel it.

I plan on spending up to a whole day to do my car. I want to get it back to its whiteness (or at least match the lip) and remove the small swirls I've accumulated. And anything else that I should be doing. This will be my first major head-to-toe detail.

I'm far from a wash-n-wax wacko so I would like some good products that will do the job nicely but won't break the bank. Thanks!

harrrrrry,

Get the PC great idea.

We have the PC kit with the black and white pad.

I would pick up the orange and green pad as well 5.5inch.

Then pick up Menzerna IP and Menzerna 106fa.

What are you planning on finishing the car off with?

Swissvax! .

If you put a sale on the foam gun, can you put a sale on the cam spray one too? I wouldn't mind a sale on pads either...

Or brushes! You can never have too many brushes!

I was just kidding about that. I figure you can't because of the quality of the waxes, etc.

But would you be able to put the cam spray stuff on sale at some point?

No idea Phil, there's too much out there! Once again, something that works good without breaking the bank. In other words, best bang for the buck. Thanks for reading that essay I wrote

okay then I would go with

PC Kit
add orange and green pad
foam pad conditioning brush

either Menzerna IP and Menzerna PO106fa
finish with Lusso Oro or Einszett Glanz
or
Einszett Extra and Einszett Paint finish with Einszett Glanz

Let me know I can give you a nice kit price.

Phil
