I don't have an answer, but I do have some related questions. I just Zaino'd my stook for the first time and I want to know what to do when I wash again:
Do I wash and start over with Z-1 (followed by Z-2, Z-5, Z-6, etc.)?
Do I wash and apply Z-2?
Or do I wash and apply Z-6?
When does Z-1 get reapplied?
Does the car need to be prepped in any special way before reapplying Z-1 (like the way old wax needs to be removed before applying new wax), or can I just wash with Z-7 or Meguiars?

derek-
dont need z1 again until you strip off the zaino... not likely ever!
before the first z1, wash with dawn to make sure there is no wax on the car.
the z2 will last several months, depending on how you take care of your car- most of us reapply just for the fun of it! and it sure seems to shine more with each coat-

"I bought a car with Zaino already applied, how do I maintain it? Just use the wash and reapply Z2?"
Yes, just wash with Z-7. For optimum results, apply Z-6 after drying down the car. Z-6 reinforces the polish, slicks up the surface, and helps the car stay cleaner with its' antistatic properties.

Z-1 users need to reapply every 6 months for a daily driver, and once a year for garage queens. Think of Z-1 as a bonding agent between paint and polish.
If you have ZFX, you don't need Z-1. ZFX need not be used with every polish application, but should be used at least every 6 months. You would want to use it when drying time (humidity) is an issue or if you plan to apply up to 3 coats of polish in one day.
Once you've applied Zaino to the car, no further special prep, i.e., wash with Dawn, etc. is ever required. Some enthusiasts do prefer to clay their cars once or twice a year.
Hope this is helpful.
