Can You Layer Menzerna Powerlock Sealant
My hardtop was painted in the aftermarket and the clear on it is not quite as smooth as the factory original paint. I noticed that when I used Liquid Glass on it in the past it would benefit from layering and the finish appeared smoother up to about 3-5 coats max. I am now using Menzerna Power lock, and I was wondering if I should layer it, or is it just designed to be used one layer at a time ?. I'm not sure if this product benefits from layering, it doesn't say anything about layers on the label instructions, whereas other products do tell you when they can be layered. Any opinions on this would be great before I go to use it, thanks for reading.
You can top it with two coats. Let the first coat set-up 24hrs before the next coat.
For a bit more sheen and smoothness, I would top it with a good paste wax... I suggest AutoGlym HD I have had stellar results with Powerlock and AGHD combo.

Thanks for the reply, that is good to know about waiting 24 hours. I think I'll try the two coats and see how it goes. I actually have some autoglym sitting around as well, I'll test it out while I'm at it and see how it works. Great info on this , thanks
I'm not sure about menzerna products but I'm guessing it should provide good results when layerd. I'm using Zaino z2, the results I get with mutiple coats of z2 is amazing. I have AG HD wax, I plan on putting a coat on top of the Zaino Z2, will see if that adds anything to the finish.
Sure, go ahead, wash your car, and apply another coat of Powerlock. The 12-24 hour recommended time is suggested to allow the sealant polymers to properly crosslink. You can apply a fresh coat any time after the recommended time.

I applied power lock last week and want to add another coat
should i just wash with Optimum No Rinse and apply another layer? Note, this was over a week ago, not the recommended 24 hours
thanks

I apply Power Lock with my PC7424xp, which Lake Country CCS pad do you recommend using? I have a red, blue, or gray pad I can use
Also, does anyone have any experience with Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish? It's supposed to be an All-in-one product, but I usually use it before i apply my last step sealant (power lock). When apply Blackfire GEP, do you work it in like a polish or do you just apply it like a wax? It's supposed to be a non-abrasive "polish"

Use powerlock with the softest pad you have, I'm going to use a black pad to apply it on my car.
You can certainly apply a 2nd coat, if it feels slick after rubbing it off you know it worked. Clean the car as best as you can before application, even an IPA diluted wipe would be a good idea.
