car cover stuck on paint

Did the cover take clear off or did the clear take some of the cover off. Looks like maybe some of the cover is actually what is left on the paint.

well yeah there is some cover on the paint, however i used rubbing compound w/pc, nothing, 2000grit paper, nothing all the way down to 800 grit and nothing paint is definetely dead and now i need new paint. seems like paint wasnt the stock one so yeah...anyone recommend a type of paint to ask for at a body shop to make sure i get good stuff?

I've recently come across this issue and searched online just to see that you had this similar issue, may I know if you have found out what happened which caused the cover to get stuck onto your paint?

Very odd, never heard of this happening to anyone before! Not unless fresh paint not drying off completely .....
