clay bar question
this might be a border line retarted question but can you clay bar your front and rear bumpers?
|
Go to autozone, pick up the megs clay bar kit. Should come with QuickDetailer, Clay, and Cleaner wax.
Spray the QD on to the freshly washed panel, and then set the clay on the paint and drag back and forth with minimal pressure. Also, you can look in the stickies, our own MikeyC wrote a guide on everything detailing, including claying. Edit: Oops.. I thought you asked HOW to clay. Yes, you can clay the front and rear bumpers... and how about this: THE WINDOWS TOO! :) |
Yes you can, in fact the clay+ lube is the best way to remove the debris that ends up on the front and rear of the car that simply washing doesn't remove. |

get the **** outta here windows too? damm how you do that? and does it come out good? can you do inside too even if its tinted?
Throw on a good sealant and it's just as good, if not better, than rain-x :). I wouldn't recommend it if it has tint, because if you get a piece of dirt that drags too much across the tint, you could scratch the tint, and it be an eye-sore, and eventually need to be replaced. But the outsides--no problem. |
Doing the inside of the window really wont help. Just wash it with a window cleaner. The outside of the windows, you do them the same way you do the paint. Clay bar+lubricant and rub back and forth until it's smooth.

thanks alot guys

i'd try to use different piece of clay to do the bottom part of the car since they build up more dirt than top..
