Convertible Boot Noise
Only thing I dislike about my 2005 is the vibration noise of the convertible boot whenever air slips underneath the leading wing of the boot.
Does anyone have any solutions?
Really appreciate any advice rendered.

Sorry to be so late in giving follow-up; but, SuzukaBoy was right!
Now, does anyone know who would shorten the elastic straps professionally?
TIA

Forget shortening the elastic straps. Just give them a full twist around once & that'll get rid of the noise you are hearing. I had the same problem in my MY04, and the twist gets rid of the buzzing.
(Edit... D'oh, I missed the SuzukaBoy's post before hitting reply)

At the suggestion of someone else on this board (I cannot remember who), I took the snaps on the straps apart and put them back on backwards. Now it's impossible to attach the strap without 1/2 turn in the it. Works like a charm. It's hard to explain, but easy to do if you've got the strap in front of you.
Here's another tip for you '00-'01 owners: remove the posts for the two snaps in the midddle of the boot. '02 and up cars (with glass window) don't have them; you don't need them and they are a pain to unfasten, at least with my short, thick fingers. Remove the panel that covers the spare tire to gain access to the back of the passenger side one. Remove the similar panel on the driver's side (old, stiff, decrepit like me) or access through the passenger side (young, flexible) to remove the driver's side post. Buy a couple of 3/8" or 10mm trim clips to plug the holes. You'll thank yourself the next time a sudden thunderstorm blows in while you're driving with the boot on.
