Headlight/Taillight Restoration
Washing the car today when I noticed how the headlights and the taillights were dead-ish looking. Any pointers on how to restore or maintain them?

I just cleaned my headlights the other day, they didn't look that bad but after I cleaned them they looked much better, they look brand new now. I used this stuff https://store.mothers.com/product_in...roducts_id=100
And here is a Pic, The driver side headlight was just cleaned and the passenger is still dirty
You can see that they weren't that bad, but this stuff really cleaned them up

Has anyone ever heard of micro mesh? It's a kit of sandpaper from 1500 grit to 12000 grit. It's used to bring Plexiglass aircraft windows back to 100% optical clarity. They made me refinish windows with deep scratches with this stuff in airframe and powerplant technician school. I was planning to pick up a set to re finish my ap2 lamps.

Whats ur technique in using MM?

You use it from the lower grit to the higher grit. You start with the more abrasive ones depending on how bad the plastic is. Everytime you move to a different grit you switch directions 90 degrees. Always use the sand paper either up n down or side to side. Never go sideways or in circles. When you're done give it a good buff with some Plastx.

This looks like it would be the best place to get it. It comes with pretty much everything you need. Instructions too. I would get the kit at the bottom:
NC-78-1 Acrylic Restoral Kit
