How Do You Clean a Car Cover?
I have the OEM car cover.. Lately I'm starting to notice that there is mild traces of dust being left behind when I take the cover off.. I'm thinking about cleaning it off and getting rid of the dust. Any recommendations?
Also, just for comparison sake, how do you guys fold your car cover? (and unfold)
Thanks in advance

the instructions say to wash it on the car and let it dry there...
yeah, right!!!
i wash mine every time i wash the car (actually i have two and use the clean one after i wash the car)
wash it with fantastic, or a good quality microfiber cleaner (sonus for example).
and use the large machines at the laudromat (i admit that i use our heavy duty home machine- and will also admit that the machine has been replaced and does require more service probably because of the cover).
i dont fold mine- i just make sure that the rear is on top when i pile it into the trunk (for easy putting it on). proper folding is to fold the sides in then fold from the front...
my cover is usually on the car (the car is in the office underground garage now covered- cause the top is always down and cause the cover protects from dings and keeps the car clean).

commercial dryer (one of those coin op places) is recommended by the manufacturer...
i just use the home machine (also a heavy duty machine that requires service when it should not cause i use it for the cover!)

shouldn't shrink. don't use dryer sheets - just as you shouldn't use dryer sheets on your car wash rags and towels - they leave behind abrasive silicates that will scratch the paint.

undo the front > undo the rear > fold one side twice > fold the other side twice so you have a one meter strip on the center of the car > fold back to the trunk. Pop the trunk and stick it in. Reverse when I get home.
