How to Remove wax from MF towels?

I hand washed my towels with Tide and it seems that Poorboy's EX-P is water proof

Anyone have any suggestions on how to get the wax out of a MF towel?

Try using the washing machine instead on the hot water setting. Also, MF detergents work well as already mentioned.

add a little bit of vinegar in your wash

That helps, but make sure you add it during the rinse cycle.

I used to use white vinegar regularly when I washed my MF towels, but I found my WW towels were not absorbing very well. When I ran out of vinegar and stopped using it the towels became more absorbent.

will try.

When you say a little... is that like half a cup for a small load?

I've tried half a cup vinegar in a small load and found that it was too much. The towels felt like they had been etched with the acid. I now use about 1/4 cup with better results. I don't use the vinegar every time I wash.

if it gets REALLY bad, I boil them. YES boil them.

Othewise a MF wash is good

I'll add another similar question.

How do you clean Menzerna's FMJ (also water resistant) off a CCS buffer pad?
