How to wash your soft top and with what?

hmmm- we all missed this post!!

i dry my top before preserving it. i wonder if maybe you are using the cleaner instead of the protectant? with the cleaner you would want the top wet before using it.
with the protectant you want it clean and dry. the trick is to get lotsa product on the dry clean top and work it in good. let it sit then buff off well. if its not black, something else is going on.

303 Vinyl Protectant is super easy to use, and works great. Twice a year and my top looks like new.

I just use a sponge to apply 303 after I wash the car/top. Seems pretty simple and effective.

something i heard from a friend getting this information from a convertible specialist was this------------------------ anyone heard of this?

wd40?

supposed to do everything all above products and be the best of them all.

so i just picked up some raggtopp cleaner & vinyl protectant from our sponsor here.

just to recap what i think i read here....

- wet the top
- apply cleaner to a sponge and use it to wash top
- rinse off
- wait for it to dry
- apply protectant to applicator, get it into the top good
- wait, then buff?
