Arrow My Wax with Black Magic Liquid Wax

Hi, so I wax my car with Black Magic Liquid Wax today. The result was kind of disappointment.

Maybe I'm doing it wrong... when it said dry to haze, I sort of maybe left there for like an hour to wash my girlfriend car... is that going to be a problem leaving the wax to dry for too long??

I try the Eagle One Nanowax (polish & wax combine), and it really smooth... then I try out the Black Magic Liquid Wax which turn out not smooth as the nanowax.. so I'm thinking maybe the polish in the Eagle 1 gave it the smooth surface.. Mine it not that smooth...

here some pics ..
what do you guys think??

This is my car after drying from washing.. it looks pretty shiny to me...

This is after the wax... no pic for outside in the sun..

I use Black Magic and it is very smooth. Did you remove the old wax before you put on the Black Magic? Have you used a clay bar recently to remove the embedded grit?

Black Magic should be very smooth and shiny. It is a little smeary - it takes more towels and polishing than some waxes. Maybe you didn't get it all off and polished?

my first nanowax was in May...
never clay before figuring it a new car, so just wax...
The blackmagic i do not feel it smooth as the nanowax..

so you guys think i should clay, then cleaner wax? then wax?

PS:: you probably can't tell by the pics.. But i'm just saying my reaction to the product

well, I used the black magic before, and it did come out smooth, but didnt last long.

claying would help alot, and yes you can use a cleaner wax, then a wax. If you are willing to order anything off of the internet, try spam.net. Also if you want a good final wax, use a carnuba wax as the last step.

read the how-to's on the top of the wash and wax page, and also read what products people use.

your car does look clean though good luck and keep us updated.

Two things.

1. Sufrace prep, meaning was her sufrace in better shape than yours.
2. Difference in products - My wolfgang is much more slippery than say my P21s.

I would also add that new cars are often the ones that need to be clayed the most. The paint gets a lot of imbedded contaminants during transportation from the factory to the dealership.
