Default Outdoor car cover

Hey guys, I need some recommendations on an outside car cover. Once winter hits, the S will be garaged most of the time but there will be times I need to leave it outside to work on other projects. Any recommendations on a outdoor car cover?

Don't. Unless the car and cover are spotless the cover will abrade the paint with the slightest breeze. Cover obviously needs to be soft.

Something like this will probably work. Not sure how your neighbors will like it though. HOA? Wind?

I have the OEM soft cover but its not UV protected. Then I have a second cover that is UV and water protected. You then can tie the second cover down. Best of luck. Later BD

Weathertech cover from sponsor Sakebomb Garage. I've used it for a few years now and it's still nice. It's fit very well and I've never had any issues with it blowing off or anything. I do think it's losing it's hydrophobic properties a bit now and have noticed more swirls lately. TBF, this is the first year I've kept the cover on it constantly. I also think the lawn people are trying too hard to blow debris away from it and they're blowing debris under my cover. Any cover is going to leave some level of swirling over time. Do your best to keep the car and cover clean to minimize it.

You could probably spray on some fabric water repellent to help wick off water. I doubt it'll be better than what came from the factory, but it should last a while and you can always reapply.

Jub:

I ordered the car cover directly from Covercraft's website instead of Sakebomb, and it's >$100 cheaper depending on which color option you choose. https://www.covercraft.com/us/en/pro...r-cover.C-CCHP

It's on sale, $413 before tax. I'm not sure if it's a temporary sale or it's just a permanent discount to draw in sales. I was initially hesitant to spend so much on a car cover, but since my car will be on the street except for winters perhaps, I thought it was a good investment. I also live in a Bay Area suburb so I think it helps avoid unwanted attention. My plan is to put an OEM cover underneath like Bama Dave suggested.
