oxidizing headlights
does anyone know any fixes on the oxidation of the s2000 headlights, mine are pretty bad and i was looking for an alternative to replacement. tell me what you guys think. thank you.

well it depends how bad the oxidiation is, if its REALLY bad then follow this thread

mother's powerball along with the thread above- and plastx- is a good combo for the outside of our headlights

I simply wetsanded with 2000-grit and followed that up with Meguiars PlastX. At first I thought I was screwed becuase the PlastX wasn't doing a whole lot to get the haze of the wetsanding out. I just kept re-applying the PlastX and started to really put pressure on the applicator. After a lot..I mean A LOT of elbow grease, the headlight looked amazing! After I was finished, I looked at both headlights(one being newly cleaned and the other still dirty) with and without the lights turned on, it was a night and day difference. The color of the light being projected was actually different due to the yellowish tint being gone. Obviously, the edge of the light beams became much sharper as well. If you have a buffer, I'd go that route but its not impossible to get your headlights looking good without one. |

glad to be of help! to make it easier you can just use a rubbing compound before the plastx, that will speed up the process if you dont have a buffer. post pics if you can!
