Part 4 of biggest detailing project *FINAL PICS*

So far just clayed it, Meguier's Medium Cutting Polish, SFX 1 , SFX 2.

Im going to wait another week and a half before I add the sealent and wax since the paint is still new.

I also removed the windshield wipers.

*Part 3*

AIO
5 Coats of Klasses SG
2 coats of Collinite

The 5 coats of SG took 5 days, because of 24 hours cure time. I just used the PC with a microfiber bonnet to apply it over each layer. It was a PITA to get off, but with some detailing spray it came off quickly.

The Collinite was a breeze to put on and buff off. Even though it says you can buff off right when it hazes I waited 24 hours also.

Looks nice.... Is the hood sitting all the way down though? looks kinda far away from the edges... but judging from the picture from the drivers side, it looks like the back edge of the hood lines up with the fenders...

the gap looks really wide...
(Sorry, I'm OCD like that...)

Yes, the left side is a slight bit higher than the right side. This is because i lost the washers on the right side, but going to get that fix soon.

Doesnt matter that the paint is new, seal the bad boy.... CG Jetseal109 is the best sealant hands down.

SWEET Front lip and wheels!

Thanks for the kind comments. Even though my bodyshop guy said i can wax it right away, i rather just wait. I have a DD and this was the first time this car has seen daylight in 2 weeks. Im thinking of going AIO, 7 layers of SG, 2 layers of Collinite Liquid Insulator Wax, 2 layers of P2S1. Still need to wax up the wheels, probably this week.

How long did it take you to polish the car? It looks really nice.

Took me about a week, because I was busy and i had to redue some body panels a couple of times until i got the results i wanted. I probably spent 8-10 hours total washing, claying, polishing, washing, and engine cleaning.

car is lookin great!!
(even qualifies you for a wacko badge- if you agree, pm me and i will find an extra one for you- just made up a new batch... :washwax: )

be sure to let all those last stage products cure before you add the next one.
and i can see that you will want to have a good dust cover- the honda cover is a good choice (my car is in the office garage, cover on right now)

So I've heard mixed details about fresh paint (Want to know for when I get mine back)

What all can you do after you get your car back from a fresh paint?
Is there a difference if the paint is air dried or baked (Mine's going to get baked)
How long should you wait before applying AIO's?
Sealants?
Waxes?

Want to know, because I'm impatient, and want to make my car shine again when I get it back.
