Picked up 2004 SSM yesterday, need product advice.
Got it from a Porsche club guy in Atlanta.
Single owner, always parked indoors at home and work, all dealer service records in chronological order in a file for everything from top maintenance to oil changes, all stock, guys was a detailing nut, 43k miles for under $15k...pretty much typical Porsche guy.
He used all Meguiars prodcuts on the car and Raggtop 2 part kit for the top.
I haven't bought product in a while, I prefer to do it by hand. I've got a niec clay bar kit, some Blitz 1 grand but my stock of Klasse AIO and SG are getting low so I think its a good time for new stuff.
I've never owned a silver car I wanted to detail up so any advice on products is greatly appreciated...

For 15k bucks? Gosh Im jealous. The market has dropped out from under these cars. That price two years ago wouldnt buy you an 02/03 with 45k miles.
She looks beautiful though! Id be willing to bet youll rethink preferring to detail by hand once you do it enough.

Yeah, I should really breakdown and invest in a DA and some pads but as small as this car is I am fine with hand work.
I've been doing my M3's by hand for the last 10 years but thats only been simple stuff like the clay bar, AIO and SG, followed up with a couple coats of Blitz.
Going to rehab my products based around the new color, just wanted to see what people are using now on a metallic silver like this, I need to get on autogeek and see whats around now.

It's only a small car until you do the hood/front end by hand one time...then you think otherwise. Luckily you have a silver car so it won't look like it needs machine correction quite as badly as some other colors.

Nice Find.
I found one of the best shine combos for silver is
Werkstat AJT topped with Wet Obsession.
Werkstat AJT: http://www.werkstat.com/acrylic-jett-trigger.php
Wet Obsession: http://www.obsessivedetail.com/wetobsession.html

beautiful car, and beautiful color combo!
though i'm usually not a fan of the bleek looking silver, with the interior it really looks nice. nice thing about metallic if they hide imperfection well, and silver hides well too. so combined - it'll look sharp.
it seems many silver owners don't prefer carnauba waxes as they're known to "mute" many metallics, though can make the car look like liquid. going with a good layered sealant will def help the flake "pop"
can't wait to see more pics in the future! beautiful ride once again

I'm actually thinking about getting the $50 werkstat acrylic kit with their acrylic prime, jett trigger, glos, and some towels and applicators. Figure I'd put a few coats of the jett trigger.
Should I go over that with a wax or would that combo be good to go?

I've been using jett trigger as my LSP for a year now, I'm really impressed with it. Incredibly easy to use, I can put a layer of it on the car in 15 minutes. After that, you can layer every 30 minutes between coats. After a wash I'll put another coat of trigger on the car, easiest thing in the world to maintain.
So far Werkstat Acrylic Jett Trigger is my favorite sealant. It doesn't have the sterile shine of Klasse or Zaino (I have them both). It pops flake in the sunlight too. I say go for it, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
