Default Protecting side skirts / sills from passenger foot entry

Looking for the best product to use to prevent the scratches and scrub marks from the heels of shoes when entering the car. Not so much for the plastic shield piece but the painted lower portion. I was thinking of using clear film but not sure which one to use. Thoughts?

I agree, but for some people there are physical and mental limitations so a reminder is not always the best option. Instead I'd rather be proactive and not have to worry nor explain why.

I usually give a verbal warning prior to entry or exit of the vehicle.
My sideskirts also have a cheesy (but I like them) "Caution: NO STEP" on them in yellow/black.. so that helps I guess.
