Question on OEM Car Cover

Anyone had experience to wash the OEM car cover in a washer and using a dryer after? I plan to clean the cover, but too lazy to hand wash it. Please help.

Thanks in advance.

you should use an industrial size machine...
i cheat and use our heavy duty home machines- i do know that it will wear them out more quickly by washing the cover.

I used to leave it on the car and wash it with regular car wash soap. I would douse it really well to get it rinsed. I would then hang it on the line to dry. I guess that kind of is hand washing.

Thank you very much. I plan to carry it out to laundry mat and use their slot washer machine, in case it is too heavy for my home washer :D

One more question: is it the cover will shrink after dryer?

No it does not shrink. I haven't washed the OEM cover but I have had it rained on. I took it off the car , put it in the washing machine to spin out as uch water as possible, then put it in the dryer ... medium - low heat.

The problem with our samll house hold drayers is the big cover gets tangled easy and has some damp spots if you don't take it out and refluff it every once in a while. I've also just spun it 2-3 spin cycles and put it back on the car to air dry

Thank you very much on all of your inputs.
