raggtop or 303 protectant for soft top
Best is always subjective, regardless of topic. Same here. Again, both are good options and there are many using both. Never assume that your notion of best is universal.
As stated above, read and follow the directions. 303 works well for the top if you're using it properly. I've never had problems with it streaking.
However, from this limited experience, I'm not going to assume that the method doesn't and can't work. All I know is that my attempt to do it didn't work. It seems a little presumptuous think that because I failed get it to work that the method itself is faulty.
No, I am serious. I have and stll use 303 and RT both. But gave up on 303 for tops as it runs when it gets wet. Warm outside, cold outside, ibuff or no buff.
Mind you i have a black car with tinted windows, so it reveals all. And it is not a huge mess slimy mess. But it looks kind of like gasoline on water on my paint and glass. It is faint and wipes off when towel drying. But make no mistake...it is 303. RaggTopp never does it.
Regardless i love 303 for interior, rich matte look with just a hint of lustre.

I have used both on my top and strongly prefer the RaggTopp. I too have experienced 303 running off in the rain, and it's not because I applied too much of the stuff. I have never, on the other hand, experienced streaking with RaggTopp. But I will say that 303 darkens the top more than RaggTopp. YMMV.
