Some people are just naturally worrying types just as others are not, you can see this in the content of the many varied, funny and dammed right weird posts on here...me personally, I couldn't be bothered removing the seats but that's just me, each to their own. Have to say though that some previous threads seem to be started by owners who just aren't happy unless there is something wrong with their car for whatever reason? I look after my 2000 service & maintain regardless of cost and just drive the damn thing, its only as good as what you do with it...!

I did this on my car when I first bought it. Make sure to put towels on the door sills to prevent the chance of the seats rubbing against them, and put tape on the rails, as already noted by gotrpms.
