This stuff is garbage.
I've tried the 303 protectant on my dad's C5 beige convertible top and it doesn't seem to do a thing. It definately doesn't clean one bit. Is this stuff just supposed to provide protection against the sun and that it. I figured it should clean up the top also.
I don't really think you have a valid complaint. As others have already pointed out 303 Protectant does not have any significant cleaning ability, but it's not supposed to.
Try using the 303 cleaner first. Also, you may want to look into what the top on the Corvette is made out of. It might be a fabric top and if it is then you want to clean it first and then protect it with 303 Fabric Guard or Ragg Top for fabric.

My 303 walks my dog!
i am more concerned than the others...
have never heard of using 303 protectant on fabric tops, unless you have a special version (called fabric guard)... the cleaner can be used on either
the 303 that we use on our cars should not be used on bmw tops cause their tops are not vinyl (btw, from the title i cant tell whether you mean the c5 or the bmw- you have both in the title).
fabric tops are a real pia...
best protectant is raggtopp for fabric and you have to mask the entire car to use it... i use old sheets and open the top a bit, then put the sheet on the car and close the top- repeat this in the back

The last C5 Corvette I detailed had a twilfast canvas/cloth top and i'm almost positive it was stock because it only had 5800 miles on it.
303 is my 2nd most used product and definately not garbage.
