Default Tire Dressing

Do you guys know what kind of tire dressing the dealers and expert detailers use? I've used all kinds of stuff from the auto shops like Kragen, they all suck. Most of it just makes the tire all gooey and attracts dirt/dust and splatters all over the car (even after getting a chance to dry). They usually come in a gel type of consistancy and you apply it with a cloth, sponge or the provided applicator.

However, the stuff I've seen the dealers/detailers use are liquid in consistency. They just squirt it onto a cloth and wipe it on. It makes the tire look shiny but not gooey and doesn't come out sticky.

I just use the Vinylex I have for the interior. It makes the tires black but not shiny.

I use "Black Magic" (its clear) from Autozone.. put it on..wipe it off...wait about 5 min.. wipe it off AGAIN... wait a bit more... and do a final wipe. This way I don't get much "sling" onto the sides of the body, and they tires are shinnnnny.

p.s. you should post this in "Wash and Wax"... people are really into this stuff there.

You can put on multiple layers of the Meguiars stuff to make the tires look more shiny.

Meguiars Endurance and Zaino are the best I have seen. Too many of the others spin off.

Meguiars High Gloss Endurance ... Clear transparent grape smelling purple liquid. I'm another vote for it, 2 coats for me when I wash the car. It lasts for as long as 3 months for me.

303 Aerospace Protectant. Silcone free to attract less dust and water based which soaks into the tires well.
