Water Wash...
How many of you wash with just water? I just got sand blasted today by a killer T-Storm 
I need to wash it down a bit b4 I use some detailer spray. My friend said just use water.

i never use just water... can leave water spots which etch your finish. city water has added chemicals (chlorine, etc.) and well water has potential natural chemicals (iron, etc.). i would always use a car shampoo of some sort.

It's not the same water. I just got done testing some water. Total dissolved solid count or conductivity test will prove that. City water normally will be cleaner than say well water.
The important thing is to remove the water after a wash. This helps to prevent the deposits from staying behind after the water evaporates and etching the paint.
Anyway, a water rinse will not get all the dirt, dust, and environmental contaminants off the paint. A little help with soap is needed to help carry the stuff away.
All the washing in the world will not help a sand blasted car.

Well I'm not going with just water that's for sure. I'll get some good car soap today.
BTW, here is my other baby after a few hours of Z5 and Z2 treatments. Just spectacular! I still need to work on the hood though where I screwd up with the clay

I am one that doesn't use just water. My cars are outside parked so if they get dirty or sand plasted, sadly they have to wait till the next car wash. I have tried the just water routine and not convinced. Only cause from the day of the wash till it starts to show dirty, I drive alot and get bugs, etc. and that doesn't come off easy. Plus in my complex I am not alllowed to hand wash, so I have to go to the car wash to power wash. 
Never drive thru wash...
