What's the best product for fixing light scratches
I have a real light scratches on my car with is black and I want to fix it.
I don't think touch up paint will work since the scratch is so thin so it will rather overwhelm the scratch. Any magical scratch remover that actually WORK? Website would be helpful or should I just go to a automotive store and look there? Thanks |
pics of your car would help also. are they light scratches? does your fingernail catch? depending on the size of the scratch will depend on the type of polish used.
a buffer such as the porter-cable 7424 or the Ultimate Detailing Machine with edge or lake country pads will also help in the removal of the scratches. you could try the following sites autogeek.net detailersdomain.com autopia-carcare.com also read the info on autopia and also read the how to section here in the wash and wax forum. there is already a lot of usefull info on here. hope that helps :hello: |
crazys s2k has the right questions-
and i agree that we can not give good advice without pics... can you see a different color in the bottom of the scratch (does it go all the way to metal?) we do have a "how to" thread on this in our how to section- so its just a matter of whether it can be repaired by polish or if its too deep it might need some more advanced sanding/ touch up work. from your description, it sounds like polish might do the job- but dont want to just guess here... |
