In case you don't already know, it really cuts down on brake dust. I was looking for a solution to keep my wheels from getting so dusty the day after cleaning them and was considering caliper covers. Coincidentally I tried using wheel sealer/wax for the first time in my life about a month ago and wow what a difference! The can says it cuts down on brake dust by 75% and I believe it. I never would have thought this would be so effective at cutting down the brake dust. I'm a bit of a detailing noob so for those of you who are thinking no s$@t sherlock, I've known this for years....sorry you wasted your time reading this...lol. For those of you who are annoyed by brake dust on your light silver stock wheels...you're welcome.

Did you apply it to the inner wheel barrel?
Are you still running OEM AP2 brake pads?

OEM pads.
As for the inner wheel barrels, I didn't take the wheels off but that's a good idea for when I do have them off.

I changed out my OEM pads early for AP1-equivalent Nissin pads and it was worth it. Can't get AP1 front pads from the dealer anymore, but they dust way less than the AP2s. My front wheels used to dust heavily within 2-3 days of washing... now it takes at least 1-2 weeks.

i am using cquartz on my wheels, althought it doesnt stop the wheel from getting dusty quick but it does wash off pretty easily

using hawk dtc-70 brake pads which dusts like a beach

I am glad this thread come up, I can't keep my wheels clean at all. I am going to try a wheel sealer/wax. Any specific kind you suggest?

I used Max Coat Wheel Guard by Chemical Guys purchased from Amazon. Its the only one I've tried but the reviews are great and it works great for me. I would post a link but my computer skills are stuck in the last century. It would be easier for me to actually wax your wheels for you than to simply post a link....lol.

I've used the stuff with pretty good results. The brake dust comes off with minimal effort; a quick spray/soak with wheel cleaner and a spray with the hose knocks most of it off.
