Who makes spray bottles that work?
 

I imagine - or at least I'd like to imagine - that all of us wackos have been affected by the problem of crap spray bottles before. The triggers break. The fittings leak. The "adjustable" nozzle doesn't work.

Not long ago I bought a whole bunch of what looked like decent enough spray bottles from Lowe's. They're rubbish. The sprayer ends of them seep when they're not stored perfectly upright...I carry pink detail spray stuff, in one of these bottles, in a little plastic bin with some towels. Bottle leaks, towels get wet.

So, I ended up going to a local detail supply store which carries its own line of products (this is where I buy the detail spray), and tried one of their bottles. I like the container, which is perfectly clear and marked with amounts on the side. But same thing happened - the trigger mechanism started to seep and I threw them away.

Help me wackos. Where can I find bottles that work?

A commercial janitorial supply? I bought a case of twelve at Sam's and they have held up.

I'm very happy with these spray bottles.

i got the 16 oz bottles, very convenient size, not too bulky.

The adjustable nozzles work just fine. You can easily adjust it from off -> mist -> stream. I rarely have any pumping problems where it doesn't spray when I want it to spray, only when I am getting low on liquid (as expected).

I haven't really traveled with the spray bottles though. I'll fill one up with some quick detailer (also pink) and throw it in my trunk. I'll let you know if it leaks or not.

Also, unlike the pictures, the bottles are actually clear.

And it seems like, for a couple bucks a bottle, I'll roll the dice and see if they're any better than what I've got. I guess even if they're not, I can recycle them when they crap out. It's certainly not a lot of money.

usplastics.com worked for me. I store my big spray bottles in a 5 gallon bucket when transporting, and put it on the floor behind my seat while driving. good luck, and let us know how you make out.

Try Meguiars bottles. I have them for over 4 years now, spray wax, quick detail, window clearner, Hyper Dressing, Super Degreaser. No leak!
