Not as efficient or practical as a Prius and not as sporty as a sports car. You should read some reviews on the thing at the very least if you're thinking about buying one. From everything I've seen/read, it seems like it's just a huge disappointment. Honda called it the CRX successor, and it turned out to be nothing like the CRX at all, which was lightweight, cheap, and fun.
I think just about everyone agrees that what it really needs is a K20. They are coming out with another version that is turbocharged, which might things more interesting. Really though, even the suspension wasn't sporty enough stock.
I mean it's a personal thing, if you like it then you should definitely get it. But personally I find it to be just like the X6. It basically takes the cons of two types of cars and puts them in one car, but none of the pros. Like in the X6, you get the practicality of a sedan, except it drives like an SUV; worse of both worlds really. Then with the CR-Z, you only get two seats like a sports car, but lose the sports car engine, and instead you get a hybrid engine, so it's weak, except still not as efficient as other hybrids.
