A deal on some rear rims/tires
So, someone on another forum picked up 4 REAR wheels, was gonna try to put them on his prelude (Yeah..).
Anyway, he put them up for sale today. I offered him $400 for all 4 with tires.
1 Set has 225/50/16 BRAND NEW Azenis on them.
1 Set has 225/50/16 ~30% tread left Dunlop Direzzas on them.
I offered him $400 for all 4, he said he would take it. I would love to have an extra set of rims to take to the drags, but I also need new tires, and I was gonna get some 215/45/16 Azenis for the front. Would those fronts work with stock front sway bars?
Do you guys think it would be worth it? Those Azenis are looking mighty tempting, and I could possibly sell the other set of rears for $150-200 to help pay for the difference.
Lots of questions, I know, but I'm debating if I wanna do this, or just fork out the $500 for some brand new Hancook RS2s.

Azenis suck for drag racing....they're more of a road racing tire. My clutch can vouch for me
RS2's are road racing tires too...might want to get some tires with stiffer sidewalls if you're doing it mainly for drag.

actually you want something with a soft sidewall for drag racing.

For drag, softer sidewall indeed. I'm still debating, I may just buy the cheaper set with shitty tires and throw some radials on there when I get the money, keep those as backup/spares/fun tires.
Or, I may buy the Azenis for the track and still get new tires.. But for $100 more I can get an extra set of rims.. Blah, too many choices..
