now, im royally ***KED!
edit**
so here the situation. i went to ball honda to do a diagnostic, and a possible valve adjustment, when they told me that my compression is low. cylinders 1 & 3 are okay with 240 but cylinders 2 & 4 have 160 on top of that im still misfiring in cylinders 1 & 2. so they tell my that its possible that my valves are bent, which it probably is. but this results in me having to by a new head, which can cost up around the $5000 mark. one of the options which is probably one of my only options is to see if a machine shop can fix my bent valves and take a look at the rest of my head. i dont know where to go, or what to do.. i just feel like driving my car off a cliff.. |

ive been going to autozone for the other times for my OBD II needs.. they let you use it for free, but all it does is come up with the code, and what the code is.
i need more in-depth information.. i was told that the ECU holds 10 frames of "freeze data" which is the data that is stored the exact moment the problem was recognized.. i need to know what, where, and when my problem happened, and a scanner is the only way.. :( |
I would try Honda dealerships again. You don't want to pay for wrong info and if they guy has no idea what you are talking about that is a bad indicator. I had that code read for my civic and I ended up getting a new engine and if diagnosed sooner I may have saved myself from getting a new head. I don't know what is wrong with your car but even spending alittle on diagnostics to know something is or isn't wrong can put you at ease too.
Sorry to hear about your car :( :hello: Patricia |
My ex-roommate is still at JC Service... that may work...

JC Service (on Raytheon) does great work.
Give them a call and see if they can help........858-292-8042 |
Looks like the problem from your plugs may have damaged your coil packs. Hopefully the data will pinpoint this for you.
|
dropped of the car today for a valve adjustment, and a quick diagnostic.. hmm.. hopefully this helps..

How is that possible?...... did you miss shift? or overrev? That's the only way it could happen.
