Wanna hit up the Canyons this Friday?
Hi All,
Kinda late notice, but I've been craving for corners and spontaneously decided to hit the mountains with a couple friends this Friday. Nothing crazy or dangerous, just want to cruise the canyons and grab some pie. So, if you are like me, with nothing else better to do on a Friday morning/afternoon, come and roll with us.
Goin to meet up at McDonald's off I-15 and Aero Dr at 8:30am and will roll out at 9:00.
Here's a map: Itinerary
PM me if you are interested or have any questions and I'll get back to you ASAP.

Yeah doing a run during work hours will get you a low turnout. Too bad.
I just did that run last Sunday............67 thru Ramona and Santa Ysabel, Wynola Road into Julian for breakfast. Then back through Wynola and Santa Ysabel to Mesa Grande then up and down Palomar.
I cooked my brakes on Mesa Grande and had a very numb pedal coming to the last two corners. Strangely I just did a flush/bleed with Motul RBF600.....replacing my old ATE Super Blue. Motul is supposed to be this high-end fluid, but I NEVER had that issue with ATE (which isn't cheap either). I guess I was driving a bit aggressive - haha.
Also, we found a new part to finish off that route. After coming down Palomar and heading past the Casino there is sideroad that winds through some pretty tight canyons areas, similar to Mesa Grande. You guys will have to come along on my next drive to find out.

sounds like fun, its one of my favorite runs. To bad it during work hours, kinds wanted to break in some tires too. Have fun guys and be safe, still have a video of my buddy getting semi airborne on one of the dusty turns.

Yeah finally able to get behind the wheel again! Its still a little dificult getting in and out, but once I'm there it is fine.
As for the brakes........I checked my pads the other day whem I was swapping wheels and there was still plenty of meat left on them and they weren't cracked or crumbling. I'll check them again since I have a new set waiting on my shelf. These DO have alot of miles on them currently but there was still meat left so I don't know. Like I said I've driven that road enough and NEVER had them fade before.
We'll have to set up another group drive soon.
