I run the minimum oem spec rear toe in. My car handles extremely well, and my rear tire wear is fine. I have no problems like the OP has. Running outside of spec worries me a bit. Maybe I'm a wimp....

Bigger is not better, especially up front. I'd say if you are driving on street the choice is probably the Contis or the Firehawks. I have contis now and I like them. Might try Firehawk next time.
